ATA Tiger Program : Ages 4 to 6

The ATA Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool-age children ages 3 through 6 and is designed to be accessible to students of all abilities and genders. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. This curriculum provides our students with the most fun and exciting training methods available for this age group.

The rank and testing system used by the Tigers is slightly different than others as well. Tigers can earn eight collectible animal patches to display on their uniforms as follows: Turtle for white belt; Tiger for orange belt; Cheetah for yellow; Lion for camo; Eagle for green; Phoenix for purple; Dragon for blue; Cobra for brown; Panther for red.

Why you Should Choose White's ATA Tigers

   1.  Fosters Self-Discipline

One of the central tenets of all forms of the martial arts is an absolute   focus on self-discipline. Kids with a martial arts background, however, are   continually reminded of how essential self-discipline is.

    2.Increased Self-Esteem

Confidence comes with achievement, so your child's self-esteem level will   get a boost with every new move they master and every belt they earn.

    3. Improve Listening Skills

In order to master the skills being taught and advance through the belt   ranks, your child will have to exercise superior listening skills.

    4. Instills A Sense of Respect

Respect is not what you know, it’s what you do. Learning Songahm       Taekwondo will teach your child that you earn respect by showing respect     towards others. When attending classes, your child will be learning lessons in   respect along with the exciting techniques and skills of Songahm Taekwondo.

Taekwondo for Kids : Ages 7 to 12

ATA Martial Arts Kids is a specialized program created exclusively for children ages 7 through 12 and teaches the fundamentals of martial arts. The foundation of the Martial Arts Kids curriculum is the education and development of life skills such as discipline, respect, and self-esteem. With those life skills, students gain a positive mental attitude, learn to set goals and gain confidence in themselves.

ATA Martial Arts Kids training is designed to be fun and fulfilling for each student. This is because Taekwondo is an individual activity rather than a team sport. Therefore, every student is an active and valuable participant in class. They work out with kids their own age and progress at their own pace.

The ATA Martial Arts Kids program is perfect for parents looking for an activity that is not just great exercise but that also teaches their school age children lessons they will use throughout their life. The way children learn and what motivates them is the reason we offer a program exclusively for children.

Since its introduction in 1986, the Martial Arts Kids program has combined the discipline of traditional martial arts with learning respect through life skill development. Additionally, the self-esteem gained through our unique reward system helps your child advance in martial arts while reaching their fullest potential, regardless of age, abilities, or gender.

Why Choose White's ATA Martial Arts Academy?

   1. Encourages Non-Violent Conflict Resolution

Thinking that martial arts instruction promotes violent behavior is justified if your only experience with the activity comes from television or movies. In fact, many defensive styles teach kids peaceful, non-violent conflict resolution skills and emphasize the importance of avoiding a physical altercation.

     2.   Boosts Socialization Skills

Kids who don't always thrive in highly social environments may find it easier to get to know people and make new friends when they're in a room filled with peers who share a common interest.

      3.   Encourages Physical Activity

Enrolling an inactive child in such a physically demanding pastime not only discourages the sedentary lifestyle they are used to but also gives them an enjoyable activity that inspires them to keep moving.

      4.    Learn to Set and Achieve Goals

Most forms of martial arts are based around an accomplishment system of colored belts that signify the wearer's degree of skill. When your child strives toward each new belt, he's learning valuable lessons about setting and reaching his goals.

Taekwondo for Teens and Adults

The ATA Martial Arts curriculum program is customized for teens and adults. Unlike a children's program, our adult programs focus on high-intensity fitness and real self-defense that applies in today's world, accommodating students no matter their ability.

The ATA Adult martial arts curriculum is a great way to stay in shape that doesn't become dull or routine because as soon as you get better and learn more there are always more challenges ahead to keep you inspired and coming back to the school.

Men and women often join to for the ability to take care of oneself in any potentially dangerous, or uncomfortable situation, even though most of our adults seldom, if ever, get into a fighting situation. They often find themselves, however, in an uncomfortable situation, such as walking to their car late at night, or escorting their spouse or friend in a less than secure neighborhood. It's at times like this that martial arts training greatly enhances your ability to really take care of yourself, or someone you care for, when the time arises.
